🐵 At the MTV Video Music Awards, Eminem and Snoop crushed a Metaverse-themed performance. The rap stars performed as Bored Apes and traveled through the Otherside digital universe.

Capital Rushes into Web3 Gaming

🕹️ It was a huge week for announced capital raises in web3 video games. Mobile game vet raises $200MM for blockchain games at Limit Break. Gaming leader Animoca Brands got $100MM for their main entity and a further $45MM for their Japanese unit. Xterio adds $40MM for their own web3 gaming platform.

More Money for Web3

💰 Bitcoin Depot is going public via SPAC merger for their Crypto ATM network with a $885MM valuation. A group of YC founders called OrangeDAO added $80MM to invest in web3 startups. One of the Polygon founders raised $50MM for his web3 fund Symbolic Capital. Thirdweb closed a $24MM funding for their blockchain developer tools.
