Nike Leads Big Brands in NFT Sales
👟 Dune Analytics reported that Nike was the clear leader amongst existing brands in NFT sales thus far. With Nike’s purchase of RTFKT last year, the sneaker giant has exceeded $185MM in NFT sales. Luxury goods firms Dolce & Gabbana, Tiffany’s, and Gucci take the next three sports on the list, with sales of $10–25MM each. Adidas rounds out the top 5 with $11MM. See full list here.

💰 It was a light week in for venture capital activity in web3 and across most sectors as the summer wraps up across the U.S. Shima Capital raised a $200MM Crypto focused venture fund. Metaverse character builder Ready Player Me announced a $56MM Series B.
