Here are three web3 stories you need to know from this week.

A federal judge began to hear arguments in the SEC vs Coinbase lawsuit this week. At the heart of this is whether cryptocurrencies are securities or not. Both sides have made arguments in Coinbase’s motion to dismiss. Look for some type of ruling in a few weeks. Story here.

Hong Kong’s HaskKey raised $100MM at a $1.2Bn valuation to develop its web3 ecosystem, enhance compliance and expand its product offerings for its licensed business. The exchange currently has over 155,000 registered users. Story here.

Solana Labs sold out its Crypto-focus mobile phone batch recently as $SOL meme coins and NFTs added value to buyers. The original batch of 20,000 phones were priced at $599–1,000. Their team announced a second batch of phones is moving forward with a $450 deposit price. Story here.
