On this Diverse Web3 Builders series, we interview Black, Latinx, and Women founders creating startups in the web3 space. Jonathan Hessing of Keyspace Studio is of Cuban American heritage and is our first Latinx guest on the show. Keyspace Studio has launched a no-code web3 platform for brands and creators.

Jonathan grew up here in Atlanta and attended college at Kennesaw State University. At KSU, Jonathan said his experience with his fraternity (and mine) Delta Tau Delta taught him leadership and showed him new opportunities. After an illness kept him out of school for nearly a month, he decided that he would bet on himself and build a career in entrepreneurship.

After graduation, Jonathan got to work building his first business in video streaming. He raised funding and brought a successful product to market. He describes this first startup as a business school in real life. He learned to hire and manage a team, and ultimately decided he needed to bring in an experienced CEO to replace himself.

After exiting this business, Jonathan knew that he would be creating another startup. Entrepreneurship was deep in his nature. Jonathan started down the Crypto rabbit hole during the ICO boom. He had ideas for computer sharing using a token but that idea cooled when the ICO market crashed. When NFTs blossomed, Jonathan jumped into that opportunity. He first explored an NFT platform to create digital trading cards for creators. With a team in place, they dug deeper to decide if they should build a consumer product or a SaaS solution.

Keyspace Studio was born when Jonathan and the team concluded there was a bigger opportunity building a platform for creators and brands to launch their own NFTs. They created their product to empower NFT issuers around 4 M’s — mint, manage, market, and measure. Creators can use Keyspace Studio to mint and sell NFTs to their fans. They can manage their relationship with their NFT holders and run marketing campaigns to these holders on the Keyspace platform. Creators can also measure the success of their NFT sales. All this is done in a web2.5 manner that is friendly to buyers that might not be Crypto native.

If you are excited about Jonathan’s story, please reach out to him and learn more about the final tranche available of Keyspace Studio’s Seed raise. If you are a creator or brand that is considering using NFTs with your community or customers, hit up Jonathan to learn how their platform can help you build deeper connections.
